What an opportunity for the volunteer! April 21-24, 2008 is our annual Men’s Work Week at Indian Creek. This has always been an incredible boost in our preparation for the camp season. Whether you’re wrapping up or starting some project, landscaping, cleaning, or applying a fresh coat of paint-- WE NEED YOU!
As always, the week is FREE and all food and camp lodging is provided. We would be happy to provide accommodations for couples on a first-come first-served basis so bring your spouse along!
Scholarship
Besides the blessing of being involved in changing the lives of hundreds of young people, Men’s Work Week can be a double blessing to your ministry! This year we are offering a Camp Scholarship opportunity for the church of each volunteer.
Here’s how it works:
Each volunteer will merit $35 per day towards his church’s final registration fee.
This can add up quickly:
4 volunteers X 1 day = $140 scholarship
4 volunteers X 4 days = $560 scholarship
Therefore 1 volunteer all week (Monday - Thursday) can earn a scholarship to pay for a camper’s entire week this summer!
All scholarships will be deducted from the volunteer’s attending church’s total registration fee. Individual application of scholarships is determined by the volunteer’s pastor or youth sponsor.
Be Prepared
Please bring your own bedding and linens. Although Indian Creek provides tools for this week, you may also wish to bring your own (call ahead for specific project information).
We do need an accurate count for food and lodging. Please pre-register ahead of time and we’ll throw another potato in the pot.
Work then Play
Stick around on Friday and Saturday (April 25,26) for our Men’s Retreat. Evangelist Bryan Sharp will be preaching. Bring your shotgun for trap shooting. There will also be a handgun range and night fishing contest. Can you think of a better way to cap off a week of serious work?
